Imperva Threat Research · Node.js

Node2Shell: independent Brotli RCE validation

Imperva demonstrated code execution on official Node.js 24.22.0 Linux arm64 through fetch() responses and configured request parsers. The fixed runtime rejected the same inputs. This is proof-of-concept evidence; the report does not establish attacks in the wild.

Railway Status · security incident

Railway restores builds across all workspace tiers

Railway says builds and deployments are proceeding normally for every workspace tier. Its preliminary incident report remains in preparation, and new sign-ups remain temporarily paused.

Vendor investigation2026-10-21

LiteLLM · release compromise

LiteLLM documents the malicious build path

The vendor says an unauthorized workflow revision built release artifacts from an attacker-controlled repository; credentials tied to another developer account were then used to delete workflow records.

Vendor update2026-10-22

TeamUpdraft · UpdraftCentral

TeamUpdraft broadens its site-exposure warning

The vendor now says every site listed in UpdraftCentral before the incident should be treated as potentially exposed and recommends checking users, plugins and log IPs.

Defensive toolkit

Useful Agent Skills

7 resources · official maintainers · reviewed 22 Oct 2026

Start with a PHP patch-status check, a focused code audit, an inventory scan or artifact verification. These resources support different stages of defense. The suggested incident mappings and example tasks below are editorial guidance.

OpenAI Agent skills + checker

php2shell-checker

PHP2Shell

Includes phpcheck-url for advertised HTTP header versions and phpcheck-server for a local or server-side check. Returns OK, VULNERABLE or UNKNOWN without exploit requests.

Where it helps

Use the server skill to verify the PHP build actually serving the application, including PHP-FPM or Apache. Use the URL skill for an initial check when server access is unavailable.

Limits Hidden headers produce UNKNOWN. CLI PHP may differ from the web runtime. Embedded version cutoffs can age; confirm current vendor advisories and package backports. This does not detect an existing intrusion.
Example task for your agent +

With phpcheck-server, identify the PHP build serving this site and compare its full package revision with the current PHP or distribution advisory. Report evidence and unknowns; do not run exploit probes.

Cloudflare Coding-agent skill

security-audit-skill

Code review & prevention

Guides an agent through reconnaissance, coverage-led investigation, candidate validation and independent record verification, with structured findings and reports.

Where it helps

Use for a scoped review of a codebase or service, including authentication boundaries, sensitive data paths and release-related code. The installed skill is named security-audit.

Limits A code audit is not a host-compromise detector or a complete incident response. Confirm findings against the source and deployment context; use an isolated, authorized review environment.
Example task for your agent +

Use security-audit to review this repository’s release pipeline and secret-handling boundaries. State the reviewed commit, validate candidate findings and report evidence, coverage gaps and remediation.

Official repository / documentation ↗PRIMARY SOURCE
Trail of Bits Agent skill collection

Security skills collection

Code review & prevention

Includes differential-review for security-focused change review, insecure-defaults for fail-open configuration patterns, and fp-check for checking potential false positives.

Where it helps

Use a focused skill to review a remediation diff or inspect risky defaults. Select the individual skill for the job rather than loading the full collection.

Limits The repository targets Claude Code workflows; check its current installation and compatibility guidance for your agent. Suggested use here is an editorial mapping, not verified detection of these incidents.
Example task for your agent +

Use differential-review on this security patch. Inspect the changed trust boundaries and relevant git history, then identify remaining risks and the evidence needed to validate the fix.

Aqua Security Security scanner

Trivy

Inventory & known vulnerabilities

Scans container images, filesystems and other targets for known vulnerabilities, secrets and misconfigurations. It can also produce software inventories and SBOMs.

Where it helps

Inventory PHP and Node.js runtimes and dependencies inside application images. Compare findings with the incident advisories and the actual deployed image digest.

Limits Coverage depends on package visibility, supported ecosystems and advisory data. A clean scan cannot rule out a newly malicious artifact or show whether stolen credentials were used.
Example task for your agent +

Scan our trusted image inventory for affected runtimes and dependencies. Compare results with the vendor version matrices; report image digests and unsupported or unknown components.

Google / OSV Dependency scanner

OSV-Scanner

Inventory & known vulnerabilities

Matches supported project dependencies and lockfiles against OSV vulnerability data. It also supports container-image scanning for documented ecosystems.

Where it helps

Check application dependency trees and lockfiles while evaluating Node.js applications or AI gateway dependencies. Review ecosystem coverage before choosing targets.

Limits An advisory lookup is not malware analysis. New compromises, missing advisories or packages absent from the scanned inventory may not appear. Check vendor incident guidance separately.
Example task for your agent +

Use OSV-Scanner on the supported lockfiles in this project and report dependency paths, applicable advisory IDs and coverage gaps. Do not treat no findings as proof that release artifacts are safe.

Gitleaks project Secret scanner

Gitleaks

Credential hygiene

Detects potential passwords, tokens and API keys in Git repositories, files and standard input. It can help find additional credentials that need investigation or rotation.

Where it helps

Review repositories and relevant local material when assessing secret exposure around Railway, OpenCode, LiteLLM or OVHcloud CLI. Keep results redacted.

Limits Detection does not revoke a secret, establish exfiltration or prove an account is clean. The maintainer currently describes Gitleaks as feature complete, with security patches only.
Example task for your agent +

Scan the authorized repository history and working tree for candidate secrets. Redact all values, report file locations and secret types, and produce a rotation checklist for human review.

Sigstore Artifact verification

Cosign

Release integrity

Verifies signed artifacts, container-image digests and attestations. Identity-based checks can constrain the expected signer and OIDC issuer.

Where it helps

Use where a vendor or internal pipeline publishes verifiable signatures. Match the exact artifact digest and approved signing identity before promoting a release.

Limits A valid signature establishes properties of origin and integrity under the selected trust policy; it does not guarantee benign content. A compromised trusted publisher can still sign malicious output.
Example task for your agent +

For this artifact digest, verify the published signature and attestations against our approved signer and issuer. Report missing evidence or mismatches; do not weaken verification to obtain a pass.

Official repository / documentation ↗PRIMARY SOURCE
Agent skills provide instructions; scanners and verification tools perform specific checks. None of these resources replaces the vendor’s incident response instructions or establishes that an environment is free of compromise. Follow each official source for current installation guidance and compatibility.
From evidence to action

Start with your exposure.

This is a suggested triage sequence. Apply the relevant vendor instructions and preserve evidence before making broad changes to an affected system.

  1. Contain active incident paths. Review ConnectWise application identities, UpdraftCentral-connected sites, Railway and PingCAP credentials, and any LiteLLM or OVHcloud artifacts in the identified windows.
  2. Deploy vendor fixes. Prioritize exposed PHP, GitLab, Chrome, Node.js, Cisco, Plex, SiteGuard and Siemens installations according to their advisories.
  3. Rebuild trust deliberately. Rotate reachable credentials, verify artifact sources, update affected certificate stores, and reconnect services only after vendor guidance allows it.
  4. Record scope and unknowns. Capture deployed versions, hashes, logs and owners. Separate confirmed compromise from precautionary response.
